Do you think these are good tiebreaking procedures for fantasy football?
I am thinking of being the comish of a fantasy football league next fall. One thing I can't stand about the website I am on, however, is the fact that there are no tiebreaking procedures. In real football, a tie comes around only once every 8 10 years. But in fantasy football, it seems there's a tie at least once in every league. One league I was in had 3 ties. There was an owner with a record of 6 5 2. Here are my ideas for tiebreakers please tell me what you think. I will explain my choices after each section In game tiebreakers and standings tiebreakers A. For in game tiebreakers 1. Total touchdowns 2. Total passing touchdowns3. DST " wins" 4. Playoff seeding playoffs only 1 by total touchdowns, I mean exactly that all TD's scored by all 9 players on hte roster, including passing TD's and DST TD's..2 I put in passing TD's b c the website I was thinking of doing this on counts passing TD's as 4 points instead of 6, and I don't prefer that, but it's what the other players are used to. I was going to say " change all passing TD's to 6 points for the purpose of this tiebreaker" but that would essentially mean " add 2 pts to the score for each passing TD" and it would come down to whoever got the most Passing TD's would get the most increments of 2 points added, so really it's a contest between who had the most passing TD's.3. create a stat called " wins." Look at how each owner's DST did in their actual NFL game and assign points based on the following formula 2 pts if that DST's team won, 1 pt if they tied, and 0 pts if they lost. This gives value to a good DST. Also, I think it corrects an egregious error in fantasy football a DST that gives up 40 or more pts scores 10, but there is a qualitative difference between losing a 44 41 overtime shootout and getting blown out 44 3. the points added by tiebreaker 3 are only for the purpose of breaking the tie in that game they disappear after the tiebreaker check is made, and don't add to the season total.4. In the playoffs, since you can t have a tie, use playoff seeding as the last, catchall tiebreaker. This encourages people to try to have the best regular season possible, and not tank the last couple of games to get a favorable matchup in the playoffs. HOwever, it is not the first tiebreaker. The website I am on uses this as its first tiebreaker. I don't agree with that I think it's good that it's buried under the other 3.B. For season standings playoff seeding 1. Total points2. Least number of games forfeited due to illegal lineup3. Least number of games where a roster slot was left open, even though lineup was legal4. Head to head vs. other team in competition for that seed5. Division record division winner only 6. Record vs. teams with winning records1 . Total points is standard2 . & 3 . To discourage those behaviors. 3 is to prevent people from playing " keep away" by not starting a DST4 . Head to head should factor in somewhere important, and it's unlikely there will be a lot of forfiets.5 . This website divides a 10 team league into 2 5 team " Divisions" where you play each division opponent twice and the other division once. So it's kinda like common opponents. The 2 division winners go to the playoffs, with the 1 and 2 seeds. The next 2 best records in the league are 3 and 4 seeds wildcards.6 . Would be really hard to calculate, so would likely only calculate this if needed. But is a way to suss out quality wins. What do you all think?Should I flip the order of any of these?For A. 3, I mean there's a difference between WINNING a 44 41 shootout and losing 41 3.
What is the best free fantasy football website to keep track of head to head records for owners in your league?
Currently we play on Espn but it doesnt keep track of league information such as owner versus owner records.... Just curious if there is a free website that tracks this information... I see my fantasy league.com does this but it cost money.. Any help would be appreciated.... Thanks

Our league runs a playoff contest, where each owner submits a lineup every week. One owner has not submitted his lineup yet but he happens to be serving in Afghanistan. I don't want him to have to take a zero, yet I don't want to pick his lineup, either I'd rather it be something more neutral .I just need a quick lineup from this week's NFL rosters, as follows 1 QB2 RBs3 WRs TEs1 PK1 Team DefenseAny quick help would be appreciated.Actually, it's part of our league playoff, so I didn't want to remove him from the pool. We play head to head. As for giving him a lineup myself, he's my opponent this week, which is why I was asking here.Also, he's been over there all season he's been able to run his team while he was serving.
